Dr Sheila Vasoo

Dr. Sheila Vasoo is a Senior Consultant and Rheumatologist with over 20 years of experience, specializing in a wide range of rheumatic conditions including arthritis, osteoporosis, and complex autoimmune diseases like lupus and scleroderma. She emphasizes early intervention to optimize patient outcomes and has a special interest in reproductive immunology, particularly rheumatic diseases during pregnancy and recurrent miscarriages.
Formerly with the National University Hospital (NUH), she held key roles in education and outpatient care, and remains a Visiting Consultant there. She contributes to national clinical guidelines and serves on various professional boards and editorial committees. Dr. Vasoo has published extensively, especially on lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome, and led pioneering research in Singapore on immune causes of recurrent miscarriage, earning international recognition.
Outside of work, she enjoys long walks with her three sons, traveling, and participating in medical missions.
