She earned her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2005 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2013. She completed her advanced training in pelvic exenteration surgery for advanced pelvic tumors at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, a globally recognized center for this specialized procedure. Additionally, she trained in advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery and endoscopic techniques.
Upon returning to Singapore, Dr. Toh served as a consultant surgeon at Singapore General Hospital and co-founded the Singhealth Pelvic Exenteration Unit, which has successfully performed over 100 complex surgeries. Her dedication to patient care also led her to collaborate with the National University of Singapore to develop a mobile app offering cancer patients and their caregivers educational and emotional support.
