Dr. Bertha Woon Yng Yng

Dr. Bertha Woon Yng Yng is a Singapore-based breast surgeon with extensive experience in breast cancer surgery, general surgery, and laparoscopic procedures. She obtained her MBBS from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1996 and completed her Masters of Medicine in Surgery in 2001. She earned her Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2004.

Dr. Woon runs her private practice at Gleneagles Medical Centre and is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Mandarin, Hokkien, French, and Malay. She is also a certified translator and interpreter for English and Mandarin.

Active in the medical community, she has been a Council Member of the Singapore Medical Association (SMA) since 2007, serving as Vice-Chairman of the Medical Indemnity Committee and a Board Member of the SMA Centre for Medical Ethics and Professionalism. She also held roles on the National Medical Ethics Committee and the Medical Advisory Board of Gleneagles Hospital.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Woon is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, a member of the Medical Protection Society, and an Associate Mediator at the Singapore Mediation Centre. Her passion for music is evident through her performances on the oboe with the Singapore Youth Orchestra alumni for Singapore’s SG50 celebrations.
