Dr Ng is a highly qualified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2001 and obtained various prestigious postgraduate qualifications, including fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He trained at the renowned Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG) in Switzerland under the Ministry of Health’s Human Manpower Development Program.
Dr Ng previously served as a Consultant in the Foot and Ankle Service at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and is now a Visiting Consultant there. He has a special interest in minimally invasive and percutaneous foot surgeries, aiming for effective outcomes with minimal scarring. He is one of the few specialists in Singapore offering these techniques and is a member of GRECMIP, a European group dedicated to such surgeries.
In addition to clinical work, Dr Ng is deeply involved in medical education. He teaches at both NUS and Duke-NUS, mentors trainees, and serves as an examiner. He is also part of the Core Faculty for the SingHealth Orthopaedic Residency Program and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, participating actively in international conferences.
