She is also trained in advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery and endoscopy techniques. Dr. Toh is a senior consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon with over 16 years of experience. She earned her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2005 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2013. She completed her advanced training in pelvic exenteration surgery for advanced pelvic tumors at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, a globally recognized center for this specialized procedure. Additionally, she trained in advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery and endoscopic techniques.
Upon returning to Singapore, Dr. Toh served as a consultant surgeon at Singapore General Hospital and co-founded the Singhealth Pelvic Exenteration Unit, which has successfully performed over 100 complex surgeries. Her dedication to patient care also led her to collaborate with the National University of Singapore to develop a mobile app offering cancer patients and their caregivers educational and emotional support.
Dr. Toh’s commitment to public service extends beyond her hospital role. She volunteered as part of a mobile medical team during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and has participated in global outreach projects in Myanmar.
