He completed his medical training at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and earned the College of Surgeons Gold Medal for his excellence in advanced specialty training. He was a founding member of the Foot and Ankle Division at the National University Hospital (NUH) and served as Program Director for its fellowship training program.
