Dr. Peter Yan is a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician at Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1976 and earned his Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine in 1981. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, specializing in coronary intervention in 1986.

Dr. Yan previously served as an Associate Professor at NUS and a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at the National University Hospital (NUH). He has held numerous leadership roles, including President of the Singapore Cardiac Society and Vice-Chairman of the Singapore National Heart Association. He also introduced Coronary Angioplasty in 1986 and launched the Coronary Stent Program at NUH in 1987.

A member of various international advisory boards, Dr. Yan has contributed to research in cardiology, including drug-eluting stents, blood pressure management, lipid intervention, and precision cardiovascular medicine. He has published extensively, presented at international conferences, and served on editorial boards.

Dr. Yan’s dedication to cardiovascular care extends to public health, having led initiatives like Singapore’s first mass CPR training. He remains actively involved in research and advancements in cardiology, particularly in personalized cardiovascular therapies.
